Around this house in Seattle a construction company is building five story high buildings. An old lady named Edith Macefield who lived in the house refused to leave despite being offered 1 million dollars in 2006. She died in the house in 2008, 86 years old. Notice the flowers given to her by people who supported her fight. This image was taken during construction, most likely in 2007 or 2008. In 2009 Disney put balloons on the roof of her house as promotion for the UP movie.
