this is probably lidar scanning. google collaborated with this company. they either actually upload the images or use it for 3d scanning instead of street view. in this case, i’m extremely confident it’s just 3d scanning since california doesn’t have any street view from this camera, nor the whole usa (excluding alaska and this random ranch in oregon for some reason?). unofficial companies do use this camera often though.
