New images from Google’s 5th generation cameras are now available in Brazil

Since May 2025, Google has updated its fleet with new cameras and new vehicles, especially in Brazil, Ford Ranger XLS 2024/25 pickup trucks. The new cameras did not have such a sudden change in quality, however, the blue effect on the sky is no longer applied (in 4th generation cameras, there were many errors of this effect, leaving parts of the sky over some object white, especially in trees).

Here, we have an example of these images, captured in May of this year in the city of Londrina, Paraná.

The first image is of the city’s cathedral:

Another example is Lake Igapó, also in Londrina. Detail for the bottom of the 360 image, where the street is completely ‘blurred’, so as not to show the underside of the car (truck) on Google Maps.

Here he tries to remove the branches that could get in the way of the Google camera:

There is road dust behind Google. Something probably went wrong with the vehicle while trying to start up the hill – and the Google guy still seems to be providing support:

This is the last time the Google guy appears. And I think after the problems, they continued their work without any major problems:
