Sail the Danube river through six countries on Google Street View

About Street View Bulgaria Romania · Reply

The river Danube is now on Google Street View for you to explore. It will take you through Europe from The Black Forest in Germany to the Black Sea in Romania.

Starting today, you can cruise this international waterway with Street View in Google Maps, sailing through six countries, three capitals, and enjoying many arresting landscapes along the way. To capture the imagery, the Trekker was mounted on the riverboat ms Treasures, operated by Tauck, and Scylla, its maritime partner, for cruises along the Danube and other European rivers.

This is where the Street View boat went under the bridge separating Bulgaria and Romania.

How Google Street View got a conman convicted in Britain

UK · Reply

A british conman who sold stolen luxury caravans on eBay has been convicted thanks to Google Street View. According to Manchester Evening News a guy in Stretford, UK sold £34,000 ($50000) worth of stolen motor-homes.

Part of the evidence used against Cochrane in court was a Google Street View image showing a man matching his description outside his house in Stretford jet-washing a large motor-home while stood on top of it.

Oops.

He’s been ordered to pay £10,000 or face prison. That’s $15000.
