In a new video on YouTube Google explains it’s StreetView service and how they deal with privacy.
I guess this could mean that we’ll be seeing StreetView images from the UK very soon. There have been a lot of discussions and concern about privacy from the media there.

The images from this area has been updated by google, so it’s no longer available. It was the entrance to an adult cinema in France. We don’t have a local copy of this image.
