We welcome another nation to Google Street View today – Bhutan! Foreign tourists have to pay a $200 fee per day to visit this nation, so enjoy the free ride thanks to Google Street View.
Google cars have started to drive around Thimpu, the capital of Bhutan this week. Bhutan is a tiny country between India and China. By adding Street View the government of Bhutan hope to give tourism a boost. Images will be available for everyone to see on Google Maps later this year.
There are currently 48 countries on Google Maps Street View. Most recently Bulgaria Street View was added.
