Google Street View started to take images in Bangalore, India last month. City police have now objected to the collection of data. Due to this problem Google have decided to stop taking images until the situation has been resolved. Let’s hope they solve this soon. We would love to see some street view images from India.

Joint Stock Company Regio is from June 19 until the end of this summer’s external work on the technology of Street View, in which will be collected images of objects obtained by means of photographs, laser measurements of roads and GPS-navigation, as well as information on road signs.

Street View images from Isle of Man postponed

Due to some technical problems google have postponed the release of images from Isle of Man. We reported last week that images were about to be released. We’ll let you know when google have announced a new date.

Street View images from Isle of Man to be released within days

Isle of Man will get street view images later this week. It’s likely that more areas will also be released at the same time. The images were taken last spring by the google cars. According to wikipedia Isle of Man is a “self-governing British Crown Dependency, located in the Irish Sea between the islands of Great Britain and Ireland”
