Enjoy swedish ski resorts on Street View
Google Maps street view is coming to swedish ski slopes in Hammarbybacken (Stockholm), Sälen, Vemdalen and Åre. Last week Google took images using a snowmobile in those places. Images will be available within the next couple of months.
Several other places in Europe will soon have ski slopes on Street View, including Zermatt in Switzerland.
France fines Google in Street View case
Bad news for Google Maps Street View today from France according to Reuters:
France’s data protection regulator has fined Google 100,000 euros for collecting private data from wireless networks when its camera-equipped cars gathered footage for its on-line map service Street View.

Google will take Street View trike to british piers
Google Maps Street View is coming to UK piers in collaboration with UK tourist authority VisitBritain. This to celebrate British Tourism Week and Party on the Pier 2011.
Street View trikes will be on show during Party on the Pier Saturday 12th March. One will be at Weston-super-Mare and the other on Brighton Pier. The public can see the trikes close up. (VisitBritain)
