Street View Update Switzerland
Zermatt is now on Google Maps Street View. And I beleive that is the Matterhorn to the left, slightly hidden in the clouds. Matterhorn is 4,478 metres (14,690 ft) high, one of the highest peaks in Europe.
Street View taking images on Amazon river
Google Maps Street View is currently taking images on the Negro river in the Amazon, Brazil. Images will be taken from a boat and also a trike. The trike will have the 360 degree camera mounted on it’s top. This is a partnership with Brazil’s Amazonas Sustainable Foundation (FAS) to show the Amazon area and it’s communities. We’re looking forward to seeing the images in a couple of months time!
Google Maps Street View now in Iraq
Google have just announced: Starting today, you can view Iraq’s National Museum in Baghdad on Google Maps.
