You can see a border patrol car on stand-by besides the dividing fence. On the other side of the fence you can see the car on the waiting line to cross to the US.

The small obelisk is one of the numerous border markers that identify the line between the United States and Canada, and the narrow clearing seen beyond that goes through the mountains is the US-Canada border.
