Great news from Google Maps Australia just in. You can now see high quality Street View images from Australia for the first time. The update of the images was announced today. This is a fantastic view from Sydney:

About time! I keep wanting to browse around there, but it was always that dull way outdated grainy picture quality
Yes it’s about time. The images are about 2 years old but at least it doesn’t look like you are looking through a muddy window. They haven’t updated Bondi Beach in Sydney, a big tourist spot. Which is a real shame as the current images are just a mess of construction as well as poor quality. Hopefully will be updated eventually.
