Street View comes to Russia and UK

About Street View Country Other street view · 2 comments

Google have received an OK from British courts to launch it’s Street View service in the UK according to The Telegraph. Let’s hope Street View images from the UK are released soon.

And in Russia another service has taken photos on the streets similar to Google. If you understand russian the report and some photos of the car they use is available here. The images will be part of the Russian map service Gdeetotdom.ru. I beleive that russain domain name translates to “Where it is”. Update: I stand corrected. It means “Where is this house” as explained by a visitor in the comments. Thanks.

  1. Russian domain name translates to “Where this house is” 🙂

  2. Better to translate as “Where is this house”
This are the words from a well known Russian song.
